Valuing individuals, aspiring and achieving together in faith
Intent
At St Swithun’s we aim to have pupils who are pro-actively kind, caring and thoughtful to one another.
Implementation
Each class have nominated their wellbeing ambassadors who will meet regularly and have a working lunch with Mrs Mitchinson the wellbeing lead who will assign secret kindness missions where each ambassador will be challenged to go back to their classroom and share the happiness.
Impact
To improve pupils wellbeing and successfully creating a happy school.
Ambassador acts of kindness:
During the Spring term our wellbeing ambassadors have been working on the theme 'random acts of kindness'. This has not only uplifted spirits to those who have directly found the acts of kindness but we have already started to see pupils follow this concept and create their own acts of kindness.
Activity 1: The ambassadors were set a secret mission to 'share the love' and were set the task to sneak a love heart sweet into every pupils tray in the whole school.
Activity 2: The ambassadors were set the secret mission of 'sharing the cheer of spring' they
left daffodils around the school for staff and pupils to find.
Activity 3: The ambassadors were set the task to spread smiles. They displayed a smile sheet in their classrooms so that pupils could tear off a smile and give it to someone who needed it.
