Newstead Class Y5&6

Welcome to Newstead Class, with our teaching team: Mrs Preece, Mr Carr, Mr Nobes and Mrs Tunnard.

Miss Withall will be joining us on Wednesday mornings from The Elizabethan Academy and Mr Graham from Junior Jam teaches us Computing every Monday.

Due to an increase in our numbers, Newstead has been divided into separate Y5 and Y6 classes. Sometimes we swop classrooms and teachers, which helps to make the most of teacher specialisms and prepares us for secondary education.

In Newstead, we enjoy growing our knowledge and applying it in lots of interesting and fun ways to help make us remember.

The children make the most of every opportunity available to them: representing our school teams, Piercy, Brook, Daffen and Ebsworth as Team Captains; leading training and supporting other children in a variety of school initiatives, e.g. Take 5 Breathing Ambassadors, School Council, Eco committee, Worship Leaders.

During our Macbeth Workshop, we produced a modern retelling of the play through drama. Take a look!
