Admissions

Please find below the school’s admission arrangements which explain:

  • the process you need to follow to apply for a place at this school
  • arrangements for selecting the pupils who apply
  • our over-subscription criteria (how we offer places if there are more applicants than places).

For in-year admission requests, we use the Nottinghamshire County Council Co-ordinated Scheme for requests to join this school in such cases,

Nottinghamshire County Council who administer SNMATs admissions appeals has confirmed they are still taking appeals from parents and logging them as normal, so if you wish to register an appeal for an SNMAT partner academy, please go to NCC’s website and complete the online appeals form:-

https://www.nottinghamshire.gov.uk/education/school-admissions/appeal-a-school-admission-decision

Under the terms of the School Admissions Appeals Code 2012, if you apply for and are refused a place at St Swithun's C of E Primary Academy you have the right to appeal.

Admission Appeals at SNMAT academies are managed by Nottinghamshire County Council Appeals Team, who provide an independent appeals process.  If you decide that you wish to proceed with an appeal, you should within 20 school days of the date of the refusal letter complete the online form on Nottinghamshire County Council's website:-

https://www.nottinghamshire.gov.uk/education/school-admissions/appeal-a-school-admission-decision

For parents/carers who are unable to use the online form, a printed form can requested from NCC's customer contact centre – 0300 500 80 80.
