Collective Worship

Worship forms a very special part of daily life in school, whether we gather together as a whole school family or spend time together in our classes or Key Stages. It is a time to learn from Bible stories and events, share an understanding of God’s love and relate the Gospel message and its values to our everyday lives. It is also a time for prayer and reflection and an opportunity to refer to current world-wide events or issues which may, or may not, affect our lives.

We believe that it is important to develop core values by which to live and moral standards that build children's character, spiritual awareness and self-esteem.

Our Core Gospel Values for 2023-24

Thankfulness, Trust, Perseverance, Justice, Truthfulness & Service

rooted firmly in Love

        Our Strategic Aims

                                                                                Love bears all things

To teach our children to develop empathy and compassion with a love that never gives up on others and seeks Justice in the world

Love believes all things

To teach our children to trust in others and to search for the truth with the courage to be honest

Love hopes all things

To teach our children to know that God has a plan for each of us and to trust and respect one another, knowing that everyone has a uniquely valuable role to fulfil

        Love endures all things

To empower our children to face challenges with resilience and to nurture a community build on honest reflection, repentance and forgiveness

While these gifts are inclusive of human values, we anchor them into the Christian faith by relating them to the Bible through stories, readings, reflection and prayer.
