We are the children of the St Swithun's Worship Committee
Worship Committee is a place where children of all faiths or none can come to explore spirituality, life questions and faith in a safe, creative and interactive way.
We are keen to find out what our friends feel about worship and what helps them to connect with God. We listen to their views and shape our worship so that it makes everyone feel included in praise and reflection.
This year we want to set up some prayer spaces around school. We want to collect some ideas for how to set up our beautiful school hall which has just been painted so that it is a place of worship that inspires awe. We had a fantastic time at the Pupil Leaders of Worship Conference at Southwell Minster and came back with lots of ideas - and an action plan.
We have close links with St Saviour's Church in Retford and our local Methodist Church The Grove, where we visit to take part in Godly Play. We are lookng forward to welcoming the Grove Street parishioners to join our Worship Committe mmetings which take place in school every Thursday lunchtime.
