Welcome to Clumber Class!

We are a busy and enthusiastic Year 2/3 class who love learning, exploring and achieving together.

Clumber's teaching team consists of Miss Parker and Mrs Tunnard. 

Throughout the year, we will share lots of exciting learning experiences and celebrate all of the wonderful achievements along the way. We aim to create a happy, supportive classroom where everyone feels valued and encouraged to do their very best.

We use ClassDojo to keep in touch with parents and carers and to share important updates, reminders and some of the fantastic things we have been getting up to.

We are looking forward to a brilliant year together!

Autumn 1

Our First Half Term in Clumber Class.

We have lots of exciting learning planned for our first half term in Clumber Class!

English
We will be writing to inform, creating a fact file all about ourselves. We will then move on to writing to entertain, retelling a well-known story.

Maths
In Maths, we will be developing our understanding of place value, before moving on to addition and subtraction.

Science
We will be learning about Animals Including Humans, exploring how animals, including ourselves, grow, develop and stay healthy.

Geography
We will be exploring the United Kingdom, learning about its four countries and what makes each one special.

Art
In Art, we will be experimenting with different ways of mark making, exploring the different effects we can create using a variety of tools and techniques.

PSHE
We will be learning about families and relationships, thinking about what makes relationships positive, supportive and respectful.

RE
Our RE learning will focus on celebrations and festivals, exploring how and why people celebrate important events.

PE
We will be developing our skills through invasion games, focusing on teamwork, movement and working together.

Computing
In Computing, we will be learning about data handling, exploring how data can be collected, organised and presented.

Music
In Music, we will be exploring dynamics and learning how changes in volume can help us to express ourselves through music.
